Years before I ever even dreamed of retirement I always used to envy this happy fellow who had retired years before. He always said, "Everyday is Saturday when you are retired." I couldn't even imagine. But, it is true. Retirement may not last forever for me but while it does I can guarantee that everyday will be Saturday.

Joys today:

Clean sheets
Laundry folded and put up
Parents over for dinner
Slept late
Cleaned minimal just to say I did it

Lynn, I came over to check out your blog from reading your comment on Donna's blog. We were at that same LTC conference. We have been going for about 6 years now and have been at the Hilton for the last 5 or so. I don't know why they had such a hard time this year. They need a new management staff or something. We have always had some sort of problems with our hotel rooms but this year was far worse. Also apparently the fire alarm only went off on some floors because we were over on the 8th floor and never heard it. Were they just going to let us burn? I had friends on the 18th (I think) floor and they told me about the alarm going off. Don't let this one incident turn you off of LTC, it is a great program and usually is run much better than it was this year! Anyway, nice to read a fellow Texans blog!

Thanks for your sweet comments on my blog. Did your church have any kids in signing? My husband and I were judges for that part of the competition as well as being chaperones to over 60 kids from our church. LTC is a major deal every year and it is a challenge to get them all where they need to be but they get so much enjoyment out of it.
